Lithuanian Film Studios was founded in 1940. During more than half a century since then, over 2000 creative projects have been produced at the studio, including feature films, television series, animated programs, documentaries and chronicles.

After the reinstatement of Lithuania‘s independence in 1990, our company took full advantage of the opportunity to collaborate with movie producers from Western Europe and North America. Since Lithuanian Film Studios became a private company in 2004, over fifty features and TV movies have been shot here by foreign production companies, including those from the USA, Canada, France, Belgium, Italy, Germany, Spain and the UK. We also are co-producing feature films with local production companies.

We bring our vast experience to every project we work on. By having all the facilities, equipment and experienced crew within the studio, we can assure lower prices while maintaining a guaranteed level of quality.

We are very proud that films produced at Lithuanian Film Studios have achieved international success and recognition. For example, the TV mini-series “Elizabeth I“, co-produced by Company Pictures (UK) and HBO (USA), which was shot entirely at Lithuanian Film Studios, has received one BAFTA award, three Golden Globes and nine Emmy awards in 2006-2007!
